Many people think of JTA only as buses. But JTA has been and continues as a major road and bridge builder in Duval County.

Since 1953 JTA and its predecessor, the Jacksonville Expressway Authority, have built six bridges and several hundred miles of highway that crisscross our county and lead to or are part of the Florida state highway system. The foresight of planning for future growth has served to minimize traffic issues plaguing other large cities.

This network enriches the fabric of every day living by providing mobility to jobs, family, social and religious activities and adding billions of dollars in economic development to the local market.
