Status Report is for April 11, 2008
DESCRIPTION:
Construct an East/West Connector, connecting New Berlin Road
and Starratt Road to US-17 at the future easterly extension
of Airport Road and Airport Center Drive.
STATUS:
Current Activity: CONSTRUCTION PHASE: Construction
contract was awarded to Florida Roads Contracting, Inc. with
a Notice to Proceed issued on November 27, 2007.

Funding: Revised BJP Program allocation is
$26.11 million.
Schedule: Construction duration is 650 days,
with completion scheduled for the third quarter of 2009.
DBE/MBE
DBE participation will conform with JTA policies; with the goal
set for 20%.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES:
Completion of Starratt Road construction at its intersection
with the East/West Connector.
