DESCRIPTION:
Add northbound and southbound I-95 entrance and exit ramps between
Butler Boulevard and Bowden Road to reduce traffic congestion

STATUS:
Current Activity: DESIGN PHASE: Finalizing
the design-build criteria package.
Funding: Revised BJP Program allocation is
$14 million, as part of the I-95/Butler Interchange project.
Schedule: Complete Design-Build Criteria Package
and Issue RFP in second quarter of 2008 (addition of Belfort
Road turn-lanes, right-of-way acquisition and coordination of
utility relocation have delayed schedule).
DBE/MBE
DBE participation will conform with City policies.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES:
Drainage issues for new ramp lanes. Addition of Belfort Road
turn-lanes. Permitting of project. Utility relocation coordination.
Coordination of this improvement with planning work on US-1
to I-95 link, as a component of the JTB/I-95 ultimate configuration.
