Status Report is for April 11, 2008

DESCRIPTION:
Widen McDuff Avenue from two lanes to three lanes, construct
new drainage, curb and gutter, sidewalks and upgrade nine signalized
intersections. The project includes the City's McDuff Avenue
Town Center project.
STATUS:
Current Activity: CONSTRUCTION PHASE: Construction
by Callaway Contracting. Pond excavation and drainage installation
is underway, along with underground utility relocations. Installation
of new JEA water line from Post St. to Beaver St. has been added
to project and is nearlu complete north of I-10.
Funding: BJP-1 program allocation is $11 million.
FDOT funding is $823,000. Town Center funding is $363,000.
Schedule: Construction began April 30, 2007,
with completion scheduled for second quarter of 2009.
DBE/MBE:
DBE participation will conform to JTA's goal of 15%.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES:
Phase II environmental assessment has been received with potential
contamination identified at five sites. Added new JEA water
main from Post St. to Beaver St.
