Merrill Road at Southside Connector

DESCRIPTION:
Construct a single point urban overpass/interchange at the existing intersection of Merrill Road and Southside Connector, and widen Merrill Road between Southside and Wompi Drive.

STATUS:
Current Activity: DESIGN/BUILD PHASE: Construction by Superior Construction Co. is substantially complete. Final inspections and punch-list work are ongoing. View Photographs of current project.

Funding: BJP-1 Program allocation is $17,870,000.

Schedule: Construction is complete. Minor punch-list work remains.

DBE/MBE
DBE participation goal during construction was12%. Final participation was 14%.

SIGNIFICANT ISSUES:
The limits of Merrill Road construction were extended eastward by 1,100 feet.
