Status Report is for April 11, 2008

DESCRIPTION:
This is a BJP intersection improvement program project to improve the intersections of Arlington Expressway and Atlantic Blvd. at the main Regency Mall entrance and at Monument Road.

STATUS:
Current Activity: DESIGN PHASE: The project consultant, Kimley-Horn, has attained 30% design and is currently preparing 60% design plans.

Funding: BJP allocation of $4.3 million.

Schedule: Design is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2008. Construction is scheduled to commence in the fourth quarter of 2008.

DBE/MBE
DBE participation goal during construction was 12%.

SIGNIFICANT ISSUES:
Minor additional right-of-way will be required at the Monument Road and Atlantic Blvd. intersection. Some driveways around this intersection will need to be closed or relocated.
