DESCRIPTION:
Reconstruct an existing two-lane road to a four-lane divided
highway, and re-alignment of Pritchard Road and Soutel Drive
to connect at Old Kings Road. Project includes an overpass over
the Norfolk Southern Railroad, an at-grade crossing of the CSX
Railroad, and signalization work at the intersection of Old
Kings Road and New Kings Road. View

STATUS:
Current Activity: CONSTRUCTION PHASE: Construction
by Hubbard Construction Co. Pile driving has been completed
for the new overpass at Norfolk Southern Railroad, and construction
of the retaining walls is nearing completion. Drainage installation
and roadway construction are underway. Beam placement for the
new overpass at Norfolk Southern's railroad is complete. Click

Funding: 1997 Bond Fund allocation is $6,515,587,
plus a State SIS Grant of $4.6 million.
Schedule: Construction began April 30, 2007,
with completion scheduled for the second quarter of 2009.
