DESCRIPTION:
Provide pedestrian improvements along the corridor from Whitner
Street to Spires Avenue.
STATUS:
Current Activity: PLANNING PHASE: The Planning
Study began in the first quarter of 2008.
Funding: Federal SAFETEA-LU allocation of $1.4
million.
Schedule: Completion Planning Study is scheduled
for the second quarter of 2008.
DBE/MBE MBE participation will conform with
JTA policy.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES: Coordination with the
City of Jacksonville's Street Enhancements Project within the
area.
