Transit-oriented developments (TODs) sometimes known as Transit Villages plays a critical role in encouraging neighborhood development and revitalization. Transit Villages are the perfect marriage between public transit and private development, bringing people, transit and business together. Agreements have been made with developers for Transit Villages on Riverside Avenue, Laura Street, and Kings Avenue. The development at 200 Riverside Avenue in Brooklyn will feature a transit stop for the downtown Trolley and Bus service, with the possibility of a future Skyway station.
