Bus Services
JTA buses operate seven days a week, 365 days per year. Sunday
service is provided on the following holidays: New Years Day,
Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and
Christmas Day. Check the bus schedule
for hours of operation.

JTA Rules of Road

Exact fare is required. Operators do not make change.

Please take a seat promptly once you've paid your fare.
If there are no seats available, please hold the handrails provided
for your safety.

Trained service animals accompanying persons with disabilities
are always welcome on board.

All JTA vehicles are equipped with ramps or lifts for our
riders who use mobility devices.

You're welcome to carry belongings with you as long as they
are small enough to fit on your lap or at your feet. Don't block
aisles or take over the seat beside you.

For the safety of your child, you must remove your infant
from its stroller prior to boarding the bus. The strollers should
be folded to fit between the seats and out of the aisle.

You can bring the following items on board: boogie boards;
collapsible fishing poles with hooks removed; wheelchairs;
walkers; shopping carts, as long as they fold down and can
be handled without assistance.
- A skateboard can only be brought on board if it is in a bag
or napsack and then, must be kept on the owners lap. The skateboard
is never to be placed on the floor of the bus for any reason.
- If carrying a shopping cart on board, all groceries or items
in the cart must be removed before boarding the bus and the cart
must then be folded and placed between the seats, out of the aisle.

Children under 42 inches tall, accompanied by a responsible
adult, are welcome to ride for free.

Please help us keep your public transit system clean for
everyone by refraining from eating, drinking or smoking on JTA
vehicles.

Consumption of alcoholic beverages or possession of open
containers of any alcoholic beverage is prohibited on JTA vehicles.

Possession and/or consumption of illegal drugs, weapons or
flammable materials is prohibited on any JTA vehicle.

The playing of radios, iPods and other musical devices is
allowed with the use of ear phones. Volume on the ear phones
shall be kept at a level which does not disturb other passengers.

Conversations between riders or on cell phones shall be kept
at a reasonable volume. Vulgar or abusive language will not
be tolerated. Please don't cuss on the bus.

Loitering or soliciting is not permitted on any JTA property
or vehicles.

Shoes and shirts are required to ride the bus.

Please wait until the bus operator is present before boarding.

Please do not cross in front of the bus. Exit the bus and proceed to the next crosswalk or wait for bus to depart.
